Katie and Chris were married on the shore of Excelsior Bay on Lake Minnetonka in late June. They had a small group of family members to help them celebrate their union with more loved ones watching and celebrating from FaceTime.
With the arrival of COVID-19, many couples have had to reschedule, change plans and reimagine what their specials days will be like for the sake of the health and welfare of their friends and family. Chris and Katie didn’t want to wait to start their lives together and so they chose to continue with their wedding despite a lot of changes.
Tasha and I were so happy to be there to help capture their beautiful ceremony and portrait of the two of them on their very special day. Katie got ready for the ceremony at the Bird House Inn Bed and Breakfast and after the waterfront ceremony the couple returned to cut their wedding cake.
I felt so lucky to have been asked by this amazing couple to photograph their beautiful day.
Congrats to you both, and may the exercise of flexibility and perseverance you’ve endured in your wedding planning provide you with a wonderful foundation of all the amazing adventures life will bring you. I hope to have the opportunity to photograph you and your family in the years to come!
