Ashley and Derek said “I do” on the shores of the Mississippi river on Raspberry Island at downtown St. Paul’s Minnesota Boat Club.  The venue offers beautiful views of the St. Paul cityscape as well as some beautiful green spaces.

The couple met while they were in college through their receiving.  A couple years later Derek proposed to Ashley at Como Park.

Their wedding day was a beautiful one.  Ashley’s sister and Derek’s brother served as the couple’s wedding party.  Raspberry Island and the bride overhead provided a beautiful backdrop for images with the couple, wedding party and family.

Ashley is studying to be a veterinarian so it was just perfect when a small, adorable baby duck approached the couple as the last few wedding guests greeted Derek and Ashley in their receiving line.  Ashely also made sure the duckling was taken to a wildlife refuge by a wedding guest since it had been abandoned by its mother.
