Elizabeth and Troy were married at the King of Glory Lutheran Church in Shakopee in late June surrounded by friends and family in an intimate outdoor ceremony. Their story began in high school. They went to their senior prom together and continued to date in college. At some point they went their separate ways. Many years later, Elizabeth’s sister found information about Troy in a newspaper that prompted Elizabeth to reach out and reconnect after 27 years. Soon after they reconnected they said they knew they’d be crazy to part, and that life doesn’t often provide second chances. Troy proposed to Elizabeth at the holiday light display at the Arboretum and she said, “Yes.” While their plans didn’t look quite the same as they originally intended due to the challenges COVID-19 created, their wedding day was a beautiful celebration of their union and Tasha and I were very honored to be there to help capture their special day.
