Emily and Cameron met during the summer of 2014 while working at the Optum headquarters in Eden Prairie, Minnesota. Near the end of June 2014, Emily and her mom embarked on a whirlwind weekend trip to London, England to celebrate her 25th birthday. After returning, Emily’s coworker informed her that she had a secret admirer who had asked about her in her absence. He noticed that I was gone! Emily was flattered and thought Cameron was cute so she wrote her number on a Post-It note and gave it to one of his coworkers in the cafeteria. A few days later, Cameron texted Emily and the rest is history!
On August 10th, 2017, Cameron and Emily flew to Boston to celebrate their three year dating anniversary. One of their favorite video games, Fallout 4, is set in Boston and they were eager to explore the city in real life. Their top floor corner room at the The Bostonian had floor to ceiling windows that perfectly displayed the Boston skyline and had a private balcony.
The next morning, while enjoying their breakfast on the balcony, Cameron slipped into the hotel room. When he came back, he sat behind Emily and placed his arm around her. He said, “It’s going to be a great day”. She agreed, it was the first day of their trip, the sun was shining, and they were so excited to tour the city. He again said how great the day was going to be while he slowly opened his fist to show a small, velvet box. Emily says she can’t remember exactly what he said, but the important thing is that she responded with “YES!”
This wonderful couple was married at the JX Event Center in Stillwater, Minnesota. Cameron and Emily’s wedding day was absolutely fabulous. The fall weather was gorgeous and all the decor and floral arrangements were stunning. This wedding was near and dear to my heart because I’ve known Emily since she was born and she’s also my sister-in-law. I was so very honored to be asked to document their special day with the help of my team. The details of this wedding were incredible. From the tiny touches on the party favors, thank you cards at each place setting, to the sweeping drapery from the pillars and the farm tables — everything was gorgeous. I also enjoyed the personal touches which included music from Game of Thrones played by the harpist and personalized champagne glasses with Game of Thrones quotes on them. Love it!
Wishing you a lifetime of love and happiness together!
