Michael and Jennifer met each other in graduate school in Iowa. They were both starting physician assistant school in 2015. At first, they were friends but their relationship grew as they got to know each other. Mike and Jen’s daughter got along well. Mike would help watch her while Jen studied. After graduation, Mike moved up to Minnesota with Jen after graduation and they knew it was the right time to get married.

Mike was in Colorado for a rotation in October of 2017. Jen flew out to Colorado during a break to meet up and spend a weekend together. Jen was going to help him drive back to Iowa as well. After Mike picked her up from the airport he took her to Lily Lake in Estes Park. Halfway across the lake he bent down on one knee and proposed, he had his cousin who lived in the area hiding and taking pictures during the proposal. Jen was really taken off guard! He even had my mom take me to get my nails done beforehand.

Michael and Jen’s wedding was a beautiful affair. The ceremony took place at the Guardian Angels Church in Oakdale, Minnesota. Afterward, we took a ride down to Harriet Island to grab some photos with St. Paul’s beautiful skyline as a backdrop and then to Southview Country Club to celebrate their wedding with friends and family.
